FOX+ customers are able to download their favourite shows and watch on the go, without the use of data.
- NEW: You can now choose the video quality you want to download
- NEW: Queue up items to download when you are next connected to WiFi
- You can download up to 5 shows at once per account
- Any downloaded content, if not watched, will remain on your device for 7 days
- After pressing play, you will have 48 hours to enjoy the content
- You can only download content on your mobile device or tablet, a download can only be watched on the device you downloaded the title on.
- If you are planning to travel abroad, please download any content prior to traveling as you’ll only be able to download in the country of purchase
To download content, follow these instructions
- Go to a show that you wish to download
- Tap on the cloud icon button
- On the first download, you will be prompted to select your preferred video quality. This will be the default setting for all future downloads, until you update it in Settings.
- By default, if you're on 3G/4G the download will be queued up to start the next time your device is connected to WiFi
- You can update the default video quality in Settings > Downloads
- You can also unselect Wait for WiFi if you want to download when on 3G/4G
- Once the download icon is tapped, if you are on 3G/4G, a yellow Wait for WiFi icon will appear
- If you are on WiFi, a yellow Downloading icon will appear
- Once the download is complete, you will see a green Download Complete icon
- Once a download has started, please do not disconnect from WiFi. You will need to wait for the download to be completed before disconnecting, otherwise a Download Error icon will appear and you will need to restart the download
When your device is connected to WiFi, once a download has started, it will continue to download if:
• You are using the FOX+ app
• You are using another app
• Your device goes idle
The download will STOP if:
• You shut down the FOX+ app
• Your device loses WiFi connection & switches to 3G/4G
Finding your Downloads
- To see the status of a download or to watch your downloads, go to "My Downloads" in the main menu
If you wish to stop the download
- Tap on the Download icon to go to My Downloads
- Tap on the show you want to stop
- A message will appear asking if you wish to stop the download
- Tap yes
- The download of the show should stop
If you exceed the download limit
- If you try to download a new show and you already have 5 ones downloaded, you will see the message below
- Click on "MANAGE DOWNLOADS" to delete a download and make space for a new one
- If you have deleted the download on the current device and still see the download limit reached, you can click "Manage Other Devices Download", and delete all downloads on other devices.
